Management Information Development

The organisation is in the process of implementing a new Centre of Excellence that will be responsible for preparing all Management Information (MI) and selected Regulatory information across Finance and Risk. This includes reporting such as Market Risk, Credit Risk, PL, MTM, Capital, VaR etc. This is a newly created function and hence provides the individual with a unique opportunity to build and own the organisation's MI capability.

The main purpose of the role includes:
* Responsible for defining the future-state vision in term of MI platform
* Translate Finance and Risk reporting and MI requirements into productionised reports
* Define and manage report scheduling and the sign-off processes
* Deliver and facilitate ad-hoc MI and reporting
* In partnership with Data Management Group, manage data quality and structure of coordinated data repositories
* In partnership with IT, optimise reporting infrastructure and security
* In partnership with Business Solutions Group, deliver an enterprise-wide MI platform

Key Responsibilities will include:
* Design and develop productionised reports; Business Objects and Microsoft Reporting services
* Coordinate and manage time critical automated report schedules and publications; via Business Objects CMC
* Define and develop workflow and sign-off processes
* Indentify, resolve and escalate data quality issues
* Understand and define underlying data and how this is best used for business reporting
* Manage security and access to reports and ad-hoc data
* Manage business representation layer of underlying data; Business Objects Universes, SSAS Cubes
* Identify opportunities where centralised reporting can generate economies of scale and drive change
* Support and migrate legacy MS Access / Excel reporting

The successful candidate will have significant subject matter expertise gained through relevant functional experience e.g. Risk or Product Control, in addition to significant experience in delivering business reporting and MI.

Experience with Business Intelligence tool-set; e.g. Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Reporting Services, Cognos is required as is a detailed understanding and practical use of MS Office applications primarily MS Access and MS Excel including VBA. Strong academics and any relevant qualifications/accreditations e.g. ACA, CFA, Lean Six Sigma, CBIP would be beneficial.
