Our client, an established manufacturer, seeks to engage a Management Systems Specialist to provide Quality Management (QM) and Integrated Management System (IMS) support to organizational groups, projects, facilities and supporting processes and programs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Lead management system improvement initiatives across the organization and the associated change management elements.

 

Provide guidance or assistance in the development, implementation and maintenance of quality and management system governing documents (plans, manuals, procedures and operating instructions).

 

Guide management and staff in the selection of quality and management system standards.

 

Meet the objectives of the Operational Plan and management system.

 

Assist in management system related reviews, and implementation of improvement actions.  

 

Participate in the review and improvement of the organization's processes and programs and their supporting governing documentation.

 

Coach management and staff on management system related self-assessments and conduct internal or external audits.

 

Assist the organization with business process definition and management.

 

Prepare management system training material and conduct training.

 

Report quality and management system related issues to management.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field or equivalent combination of formal training and experience is required.

 

Minimum 15 years experience is required in developing and/or applying quality management (QM) and IMS principles and management system elements.

 

Working knowledge of one or more of the following quality-related standards / codes: ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

 

Sound judgment and organizational abilities.

 

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

Tactful and diplomatic.

 

Able to take initiative and work with minimal supervision.

 

COMPENSATION:

 

Salary is commensurate with experience.
