JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently seeking a Manager to join our Shanghai office. Ideally, the successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:
- 4+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably obtained with a reputable international accounting firm (audit, tax, corporate finance, forensics, corporate recovery or restructuring) or investment bank (MA, analyst).
- Knowledge of China company law and taxation.
- Excellent communication skills in English/Mandarin (both verbal and written).
- Ability to lead and manage various engagements.
- Ability to achieve results in a contentious environment and to develop commercial solutions relating to complex operational issues.
- Positive attitude and proven work ethic.
- Ability to negotiate.
- Competent computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
- Ability to travel.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute cross-border advisory, recovery and operational tasks relating to distressed businesses in Asia.
- Draft reports regarding a variety of engagements, including due diligence reviews, monitoring reports and forensic investigations.
- Manage daily trading and the monitoring of distressed businesses.
- Conduct financial investigations and identify fraudulent activity.
- Manage due diligence assignments relating to buy- and sell-side advisory engagements.
- Assist with developing proposal documents for potential engagements.
Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Senior Accountant position.
