MANAGER - OPERATIONS PLANNING CONTROL

 

Big M Inc., the privately held operating company of Mandee, Annie sez and AFAZE stores, offers a new level of opportunity with the creation of our new position of Manager Operations Planning Control.  We currently seek a self-motivated, detail-oriented team player with at least 2 to 5 years previous experience in accounting, planning and or inventory control to join our dynamic group.

 

Our MOPC will support our Distribution Center, Operations, Accounting and Purchasing Department Managers by generating, analyzing and reporting on statistical data.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):

Business Liaison.  Statistical point person.  Interacts with key personnel:  Operations Manager, Purchasing Manager, Merchants, Planners, Warehouse Management, etc.

 

Stores Distribution Center sales, margin, expense, payroll and freight planning, reporting and control.

 

Distribution Center inventory system auditing and control.

 

Key performance indicator(s) development, reporting and monitoring for stores and distribution center metrics.

 

Collects, inputs and analyzes payroll data, production data and productivity progress.

 

Generates and distributes statistical, payroll, production and productivity reports.

Creates and develops charts, graphs and statistical reporting utilizing Microsoft Excel, Access Word.

 

Partners with and communicates back to the appropriate parties regarding statistical, expense, payroll and control issues and solutions.

Interfaces with all levels of management and staff.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

College degree in Accounting, Industrial Engineering or related discipline preferred.  BS or BA required

 

Minimum 2 years Accounting and or Control background preferred.  Minimum 2 years general work experience.

 

Expertise in Microsoft Excel 2007 – “Expert” proficiency with formula utilization, pivot tables, V-lookups, charts, graphs “if” statements are a must.

 

Organized individual who has experience in managing large and many multiple spreadsheets.

 

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Access, Word Outlook.

 

Experience within retail store payroll and expense planning preferred.

 

Systems experience with ability to learn and master new programs.  Proficiency in inventory control, planning payroll and or accounting systems a plus.

 

Strong logical analysis and problem solving skills.   Overall analytical proficiency within various areas of retail preferred.

 

Proven ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment.

 

Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.

 

Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing
