We're making history and the good news is that we've only just begun Manager - Accounting Program Office RESPONSIBILITIES Amazon seeks an Accounting Manager to support the Accounting Program Office within the Global Accounting Organization. This position will provide ongoing support to Payments Product Management in large-scale FX initiatives. This position must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage through ambiguity and complexity and support multiple, simultaneous project launches impacting the global accounting organization. The role requires solid project management ability, understanding of financial /accounting systems, understanding of financial and system controls and a strong understanding of all aspects of accounting. This person will be expected to take ownership and drive progress in a very dynamic business environment. The key responsibilities of this position will include: Building relationships with FX Payments Product Management and Software Development teams. Supporting expansion of FX Payments Products by partnering across business and technical teams to define the accounting requirements for new FX initiatives. Working from definition of accounting requirements through testing, launch, and post-launch issue resolution for all new FX initiatives. Developing and documenting a thorough understanding of FX transaction processing at Amazon, system and transaction flows, and operational processes related to FX. Providing training and building FX accounting expertise within the Global Accounting Organization. 4-6 years of relevant accounting/systems experience BA/BS degree required MBA, CPA, CMA or similar credentials Demonstrated ability to successfully lead milestone driven projects Experience in a high volume, transactional FX and distributed system environment Knowledgeable in accounting for FX, retail payments, ecommerce or financial services industry Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills Solid organizational and project management skills Apply Now Report It
