Manager Accounts Payable Controls
The Accounts Payable Controls Manager for Kaiser Permanente (KP) will manage the Accounts Payable (AP) controls team in Pasadena. He or she will demonstrate the ability to lead, plan, schedule and direct day-to-day activities. This position will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of any new vendors and check processing as well as adherence to controls as outlined in KP policy and procedures, generally accepted accounting principles, SOX compliance, and regulatory requirements. Essential Functions: - Review accounts payable ledgers, operational performance metrics and ensure established performance goals are achieved. - Provide high level of customer service to internal/external customers to ensure KP objectives are accomplished. - Monitor records of amounts owed and ensure prompt payment of invoices. - Promote a team environment and provide work direction and guidance. - Provide managerial responsibility for one or more teams or departments, which may be managed by employees with formal supervisory responsibilities. - Accomplish results through subordinates who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments. - Develop and administer schedules and performance requirements. - May have budget responsibilities. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: -Minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience. -Minimum of 2years of management experience. - Bachelor's degree. - Demonstrated ability to manage and lead a team. . Preferred Qualifications: - Strong experience managing large AP teams. - Strong experience within a large matrix organization.
