Job Description:
The candidate will be a hands on developer manager with responsibilities including but not limited to organization and project management, staff development in addition to hand on software development activities. The candidate will lead process improvement, automation projects from business process analysis through to implementation of the application or system.
The candidate will support the biotechnology research areas in the design and development of scientific applications. Hands on participation and execution throughout the software development lifecycle, including: architecture, design, implementation, testing and maintenance of scientific business applications.
The candidate will be responsible for new and existing systems.

Requirements:
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
· Experience with Ruby on Rails
· Experience with the LAMP stack of technologies (Linux, Apache, MySQL, php/Perl/python / ruby)
· Proficiency with a dynamic programming language such as Pen, Ruby, or Python
· Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
· Experience with relational database design and SQL
· Object oriented design and development knowledge
Experience - External:
· Master's Degree
· 8+ years of experience
