    Role Summary/Purpose
    In your role as Manager – Asset Quality and Reserve Methodology you will update ALLL methodologies to ensure GAAP compliance, and update risk rating and classification systems to ensure that they meet regulatory expectations, and advise the Risk function of an industrial loan bank regarding regulatory and related matters. This role may be located in Salt Lake City, UT or Norwalk, CT.

    Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Risk Rating and reserving methodologies, policies, technical documents, and work papers, and coordinate with counterparts in affiliates to implement one standard to consistently ensure accurate assessments of Bank assets and adequate loss reserves that comply with GAAP.
  • Advise Risk function in all other policy, regulatory, reporting, and origination / account / portfolio management matters.

    Qualifications/Requirements
    Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, business or economics and 10 years of relevant work experience.

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • YOU MUST BE ABLE TO SATISFY THE REQUIREMENTS OF SECTION 19 OF THE FEDERAL DEPOSIT INSURANCE ACT.

  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to, drug testing, reference verification and background check.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Must be willing to work out of an office in Salt Lake City, UT or Norwalk, CT.

    Desired Characteristics

  • Significant commercial lending / leasing experience.
  • Significant experience in banking and or with audit firm.
  • Experience drafting banking regulations and/or 5+ years with Fed Reserve/FDIC/ or comparable agency as examiner or trainer.
  • MBA degree.
