Position Description:
We are currently looking for a strong Manager for the Legal Entity Control team of Morgan Stanley Bank, NA ("MSBNA") and Morgan Stanley Private Bank, NA ('MSPBNA"), (collectively, the "Banks"). MSBNA and MSPBNA are National Banks regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. The optimal candidate should be highly motivated and a self-starter with a strong accounting and regulatory reporting background. The Manager will be exposed to various products including deposits, investments, lending (commercial and retail), FX and derivatives. This individual will work with various groups within the Bank's and Morgan Stanley's Finance, Operations and Compliance divisions.
Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing and/or reviewing daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reporting
- Assisting with regulatory reporting/monitoring (Call Report, Capital Ratios, FR 2900 etc.)
- Interacting with service providers/process owners (i.e. business units, operations, controllers, trading desk)
- Performing various adhoc requests, including assistance with presentations and researching accounting, operational and/or regulatory inquiries
- Ensuring that the Banks maintain a strong internal control environment (due diligence procedures, policies and procedures documentation).
Skills Required:
• Ambitious, analytical, self motivated individual with a strong work ethic, positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task and prioritize conflicting demands
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
• Accounting / Finance degree (proficiency in US GAAP accounting)
• 6+ years related work experience
