Manager, Building Services Job in Columbus 43215, Ohio US

Prepares annual budget and manages expenses within budget parameters.
Responsible for pro-active customer service communication and meetings.

Conducts monthly building inspections.
Manages waste stream/recycling programs.
Facilitates community involvement activities.
Maintains a visible and active presence throughout the building.

Works with Landlords for lease compliance.

RPA or CPM required, BOMA 360/Toby Awards submittal process experience preferred.

Knowledge: Must have extensive knowledge of facility/property management and planning methods, programs, practices and procedures. Must have extensive knowledge in facility/property management and a strong understanding of project management concepts and practices. Must have a thorough understanding of all building, electrical, fire EPA and other federal, state and local codes and regulations. Must have thourough knowledge of financial statement preparation, budgeting and financial analysis concepts and techniques. Must have familiarity of the BOMA 360/TOBY process.

Skills: Must have the ability to manage a facility/property management staff responsible for the planning, installation, maintenance, testing, repair and operations of building, electrical, HVAC and life safety systems. Must have the ability to develop and implement facility/property management programs and practices. Must have the ability to manage and plan diverse facility/property management and operation projects. Must have the ability to manage a staff that evaluates and recommends solutions to facility/property management problems and issues. Must have strong project management and leadership skills. Must have a command of all skills necessary for verbal and written communication with all levels of associates and external contractors. **

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

Education:  Undergraduate or technical/vocational studies with equivalent work experience.   Specialist training in property management

Certifications:  Prefer various related certifications such as Certifications in Level I Vibration Analyst and Thermographer; relevant State Hydronics License, State HVAC License and CFC refrigerant.

Experience:  Eight years of experience  in facility maintenance services including  carpentry/structural, painting,  plastering,   Prior managerial/supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
