Manager, CBS Programs
Institutional Banking Markets (IBM) is responsible for the provision of products and services to nearly 3000 major corporate, institutional and government clients. This is achieved through origination, structuring and execution of on and off balance sheet products that are enhanced through the efficient application of taxation, accounting, risk and capital management technologies. Institutional Banking Markets is the primary face to the market for all complex financing and advisory functions for the Bank's corporate and government clients.
Corporate Banking Solutions (CBS) delivers dynamic banking solutions to improve our clients' businesses and support Australia's economic development. CBS is responsible for significant revenue in both BPB and IBM. Our goals are:

The CBS Strategy and Risk team is responsible for supporting the CBS EGM and Leadership team in areas of Strategy, Innovation, Productivity and Risk.
Role Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to drive a high performing culture in CBS, particularly in the areas of productivity and innovation.
Key Accountabilities:
Productivity:
- Lead and coordinate CBS productivity initiative and embed productivity mindset, tools and program across CBS to create capacity.
- Work with the CBS Leadership team to develop meaningful productivity goals, reporting and explore the cross divisional opportunities and solutions.
- Drive the application of group productivity methodology and act as the CBS productivity expert, coach and champion.
- Participate in or lead productivity improvement projects; Participate and contribute to initiatives that search for and then execute on efficiency initiatives by undertaking business diagnostics to assist in the identification of productivity improvement opportunities.
- Actively promote the sharing of knowledge across the Productivity community.
- Participate and contribute to initiatives that search for and then execute on efficiency initiatives by undertaking business diagnostics to assist in the identification of productivity improvement opportunities.
- Determine appropriate actions to successfully implement change and build support for outcomes and manage environmental and other aspects of change across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Gain in depth knowledge of productivity tools and methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma.
- Actively promote the sharing of knowledge across the Productivity community.
Innovation:
Develop, lead and coordinate CBS innovation program to build an innovative culture and outcomes across CBS, including
- Application of customer centric design within and between Lines of Business.
- CBA Innovators Series and Innovation Academy.
- Innovation training and annual innovative culture survey.
- Support Leadership team to drive Innovation across CBS.
Culture:
- Proactively support the CBS Leadership Team to drive and embed cultural change.
- Drive an improvement in People and Culture, Innovative Culture, ICSM surveys.
Relationship Management:
- Build strong, collaborative and value driven relationships with key business partners and stakeholders.
- Represent CBS in working groups and steering groups as required.
- Co-ordination across business units and CBS segments on culture, innovation and productivity topics and projects.
Leadership and Team:
- Be a proactive member of the Strategy and Risk and COO teams, including driving the team culture, cross skilling and supporting other team members.
- Proactively drive and represent CBA and CBS vision, values, goals and capabilities.
- Apply leadership behaviour consistent with the Bank's core values: integrity, collaboration, excellence accountability and service.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
- CAN, innovative attitude.
- Experience in building innovative, valuable and motivating programs; An ability to drive results through setting goals, motivating others and measuring progress.
- Strong interest in financial services and technology innovation, experience in driving innovation preferred.
- Experience and qualifications in driving productivity programs.
- Ability to build strong, collaborative, professional and valuable relationships at all levels and with virtual teams.
- An active team player, experienced in building team culture, recognizing and actively supporting others, with a positive attitude to situations requiring flexibility and adaptability.
- Highly organised, efficient and self-motivated with a proactive, positive attitude, ability to multi-task, and meet tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of drivers in the financial services market preferred.
