Manager, Client Solutions, TPS International recruitment
London based position within the Transaction Products and Services division (TPS) to provide African transaction banking expertise in cash, trade and related FX solutions to the corporate and investment banking coverage team. Responsible for the development of a client portfolio strategy as it relates to TPS products and services for clients based particularly in Europe, with interests in and across Africa.
Standard Bank Group delivers banking and related financial services that help strengthen Africa’s connections to key markets, and in turn enhance those market connections to Africa. Standard Bank’s CIB division offers its clients banking, trading, investment, risk management and advisory services to connect selected emerging markets to Africa and to each other. It has specific global sectoral expertise, particularly in natural resources, with value propositions in: mining and metals; oil and gas; power and infrastructure; and telecoms and media.
Key responsibilities
- Develop an appropriate portfolio strategy and value proposition that creates the necessary revenue flows required to sustain and grow the TPS business model based in London.
- Achieve TPS revenue targets in line with the portfolio (onshore and offshore).
- Develop strategic customer relationships that can be leveraged to establish loyalty, cross sell products and identify new opportunities.
- Develop a cross border corporate trade pipeline and its execution that leverages the flow of goods and services into and out of Africa.
- Maintain pipeline information and reporting on Standard Bank’s agreed client relationship management system.
- Providing the senior sales lead with all support required to manage the portfolio of identified clients.
Qualification and Experience required
- Qualified to degree level
- African transactional products and services experience, ideally based in an African country
- Strong sales and client facing experience
- Knowledge and understanding of trade finance and credit.
- Previous experience of developing a client base.
