Position Summary:
Verisight is expanding in the Davenport, Iowa area and is seeking a highly motivated person to lead teams within our plan administration center. This position will report to the Director of Compliance and is responsible for the supervision of employees who will produce Form 5500’s and Non-Discrimination Testing for a variety of defined contribution retirement plans.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provides leadership and supervises employees to ensure that the work is produced according to schedules developed by the Director of Compliance.
2. Works with team to oversee the onboarding of new client relationships.
3. Participates in staff hiring and ensures that employees have the proper qualifications.
4. Implements and maintains high standards of quality control.
5. Prepares periodic productivity reports for the Director of Compliance.
6. Interacts with the Client Relationship Managers when issues arise during the production of the work.
7. Coordinates with the Director of Education to ensure that staff is adequately educated.
8. Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and Company information.
9. Assists in maintenance of standards and documentation and ensures that all employees are in compliance.
10. Interacts with vendors and visitors.
11. Evaluates employees and establishes employee improvement plans, employee advancement plans and handles employee personnel issues as they arise.
12. Performs other duties as required.
Requirements-Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year College or University, preferably in a business field; minimum of seven years of experience in the qualified retirement plan area, with experience in the Form 5500 and plan testing area; minimum of three years of leadership experience in a supervisory capacity. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the following:
1. Qualified Plan Compliance for defined contribution plans
2. Financial Services background with strong emphasis on Retirement Plan administration.
3. Managing teams of seven or more employees
4. Project management
5. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
6. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Power Point.
7. Possess ability to work independently.
8. Ability to communicate and work effectively with all demographics of the staff.
9. ERISA background including ASPPA designations such as ERPA, QPA, etc.
10. Travel when requested, although travel is anticipated to be limited.
