Manager, Continuous Improvement (1292) Job in Sioux Falls 57117, South Dakota Us
This position is responsible for developing, initiating, leading, and driving plant continuous improvement projects. This includes any and all possible process or business changes to reduce operating costs. Project initiation, development, tracking, and auditing are further requirements of this core responsibility.
Required Skills
- Works with Engineering to evaluate new technologies and processes.
- Act as a change agent to identify and drive continuous improvement projects that realize cost savings for the company.
- Perform and evaluate economic analyses on projects.
- Establish and implement meaningful metrics to set yield, labor and supply standards; track and identify gaps in performance and be able to explain discrepancies and facilitate system solutions.
- Oversees project performance and assures timely completion and achievement of goals.
- Maintain and update plant capacity numbers and create reports to measure yield and labor performance.
- Responsible for developing and leading projects to reduce negative variances.
- And other duties as assigned
Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or related field required.
- 3 to 5 years experience in leading continuous improvement projects required, preferred in a food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of industrial engineering principles required.
- Expertise in spreadsheet programs preferred.
- Must be able to travel occasionally.
- Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, proficiency in Excel required.
- Familiarity with SAP preferred.
