Summary:

Reporting to the VP Aftermarket, as the Manager, Continuous Improvement you will provide an organized creative approach to lower the cost of our products while achieving equivalent or better performance, reliability and quality. This position could be located in either Miami or Oakville/Burlington

Primary Responsibilities:

* Provide overall CI Leadership and Vision for the Aftermarket group
* Plan, organize, direct, and control activities related to the Continuous Improvement (CI) function at the Oakville Aftermarket/ Burlington and Miami MRO facilities.
* Develop Macro Plans with site leaders in alignment with Policy Deployment
* Serve as the site focal point for all CI activities, acting as the CI leader/expert for the Aftermarket group while ensuring adherence to, and liaison with divisional and corporate objectives
* Responsible for communicating, training, guidance and counsel to Aftermarket upper management to ensure the plant actively supports Continuous Improvement strategies, methodologies and philosophies
* Train and communicate CI techniques to employees, management and stakeholders; lead and coordinate CI events
* Identify, justify and pursue all resources required to make Continuous Improvement productive and successful in Aftermarket
* Direct all CI resource human resource-related actions, including final selection, training, performance appraisals, discipline, safety, communications, addressing complaints and resolving issues
* Provide support to the strategic CI initiatives of the Aftermarket group and the site goals for each facility improvement plan
* Administer the CI initiatives for the Aftermarket group
* Act as a consultant in regard to CI methods and applications
* Deliver CI presentations to customers/visitors
* Act as a facilitator in support of Continuous Improvement Teams (Process Improvement Team or PIT Stops), 5S, TPM, LDMS for CI activities throughout the Aftermarket
* Analyze statistical data and recommend process improvements
* Ensure Aftermarket is fully capable of meeting customer continuous improvement requirements

Qualifications:

* A proven track record of leading a site(s) in a C.I./LEAN journey of cost improvement is required
* University degree/college diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
* Six Sigma Black/Green Belt preferred with proven experience in a Continuous Improvement/LEAN environment
* Minimum of six years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace, with knowledge of both AQS and SPC
* Demonstrated technical knowledge of manufacturing processes
* Strong facilitation, presentation skills with strong verbal and written communication skills
* Strong Business Acumen and Strategic Agility competencies
* Goodrich Core Foundation Competencies including Ethics, Values, Integrity and Trust
* Successful candidates must meet requirements under ITAR and CCGP
