The Manager, Clinical Operations will be responsible for ensuring that all contracts pertaining to clinical research are negotiated and executed in a timely and cost efficient manner in support of Medical Product goals. Primarily responsible for contracting and vendor management of clinical research operations and the coordinating therapeutic area teams, on applicable clinical regulatory requirements. Position will also include Continuing Education (CE) strategy, contracting and forecasting of activities conducted by Medical Product's Therapeutic Areas Also responsible for publication review and supervising and reporting project specific budget forecasting and variance managed by Baxter Medical Products Business.
1. Responsible for all aspects of contracting of clinical research operations in the Medical Products division. This includes specific database management and country specific compliance requirement e.g. HFAC, Cross Borders.
2. Work with Management to increase efficiency of contract development processes within Medical Products
3. Direct CE contracting process and forecasting to enable compliance with ACCME process.
4. Direct all aspects of clinical study vendor management process for all Medical Products studies conducted worldwide to meet applicable US Federal, EU Directive local requirements and other MOH country requirements
5. Responsible for working with department manager to develop department specific SOPs, organization and delivery of SOP training to Clinical Operations and Development teams
6. Work with department manager to supervise the day to day operations and related development of group members
7. Responsible for ensuring publication review and database maintenance of all Medical Products publications
8. Conduct budget forecasting and variance for Medical Products project specific studies and report to finance. • Minimum of 8 years experience in clinical research
• Advanced knowledge of contract negotiation
