The PwC Corporate Value Advisory (CVA) team helps clients to understand the value of businesses and the implications of growth and restructuring decisions on shareholder value. Our Sydney team is seeking to recruit a Manager with a strong quantitative background and interest in finance to work with a well established and high profile client portfolio on a broad diversity of engagements. Our team provides clients with:
- Commercial and compliance based valuation including valuations of a company's overall business or components of that value such as brands and trademarks.
- Independent Expert Reports (or Fairness Opinions) for shareholders regarding the terms of proposed transactions;
- Financial reporting and tax related valuations including purchase price allocations, employee and executive share options and impairment testing; and
- General Corporate Finance and MA advice including cost of capital analysis, capital structure and pre-deal valuations and shareholder value analysis.
This opportunity will see you join a well established and forward thinking team of experts who will assist you build your technical skill set and knowledge of the Valuations market. Your primary focus as a Manager will be to ensure the highest level of service delivery on all engagements. Responsibilities will include:
- Running client engagements;
- Overseeing the design and development of financial models and utilising advanced quantitative techniques such as Monte Carlo simulation;
- Valuation research including comparable company and industry and market analysis;
- Preparation and delivering of client reports and recommendations; and
- Maintaining client relationships and contributing to business development activities.
The successful candidate will be highly analytical, have exceptional problem solving skills and an astute commercial mindset. You will be able to confidently communicate with a broad range of stakeholders and work effectively as part of a team. To be successful in the role you will need a commerce degree (majoring in accounting and finance), or a degree in financial maths or finance (Hons) with strong results. A desire to complete further study (if not already completed), such as the CA, Finsia or CFA will also be highly regarded.
