Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall Credit Risk Control environment for HK Brokerage/Futures Business as well as Credit Risk analysis and the Bank's Asia Countryparty Risk exposures where relevant.
- To ensure that all exposures are duly monitored and managed in full accordance with the Bank's policies relevant credit approval conditions
- Tracking, Monitoring and Management of Limit Excess: Settlement Risk, Credit Risk, Collateral Shortfall position etc. and Margin Call (Close-out) Management,
- Assist in the periodic review of the Marginable Stock List for Credit Risk Asia’s approval and to conduct periodic check of the assigned Lending Ratios in the system to ensure accuracy
- Ownership management of all relevant HK Credit Control processes/procedures and responsible to ensure these abide by the Bank's policies/guidelines and also align with Asia WM's general practices/policies Assist in providing oversight on the risk review of the brokerage local processes and procedures proposed by Business
- Provide support on the audited points assigned to GRM to ensure they are properly addressed and rectified within the stipulated timeframe
- Responsible for Counterparty Risk Management for Asia WM business - Structured Products e.g. Equity options, Accu etc where Bank plays role of Principal; Brokerage Business exposures where relevant
- To develop, maintain and manage relevant CP risk exposure data including database creation, analysis reporting for business as well as risk management purposes. In this regard to be responsible for the needed definition and development of needed CP Risk Management platform including structure, policies, processes, people and systems/tools. This would likely require the position to work closely with stakeholders such as Products and Market Risk (CM)
Requirements:
- University degaree with at least 5 years' in Brokerage Credit Risk Control cum Credit Reporting function. PB experience is a plus.
- Independent thinker with strong understanding appreciation of Risk Control environment, policies, processes and how these are correlated to the general market dynamics and business actions
- Strong analytical skills with a critical mind and an eye for details. Ability to multi-task and deliver under stress tight timelines
- Independent and resilient character to handle daily credit control follow-up.
- Knowledge of local / Asia central bank reporting requirements is preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven teamwork.
- Fluent to converse in Mandarin would be an advantage.
- Sound MS Excel/Work/PowerPoint skills
