Wholesale International Risk – Risk Platforms is a newly formed Risk department within Lloyds Banking Group that spans Commercial Banking, Corporate Banking, Treasury Trading and Wholesale Markets. The Wholesale International Risk Platforms team is tasked with developing and managing an optimised Wholesale International wide integrated risk platform systems for Credit and Market risk and support appropriate control workflows to enable effective risk management.

The Manager will be expected to work as part of the Risk Platforms management team; the role will carry specific responsibility over Credit Risk infrastructure in Wholesale International risk.

Main Responsibilities:

• The role involves assisting in the Credit Risk systems and contributing to the wider development of Credit Risk systems Infrastructure across Wholesale International risk.

• To liaise closely with stakeholders within Wholesale International  Risk, Credit Risk, Risk Methodologies, Front Office, Risk IT and 3rd party software vendors Sungard-Adaptiv, Murex-MLC, ICRS and external consultants to support the infrastructure, new business and integration activities for WBM, clearly documenting and communicating business growth plans and analysis of chaneg requirements to senior managers in Risk Platforms.

• Manage and deputise in Risk Platform committee’s, New Product Working Groups, ICRS strategic credit risk system project working groups and contributing to risk methodology discussions with the Risk Methodology Analytics team to support the smooth handover into business as usual of projects, NPA Requests, responding to Front Office queries and signing off on changes on behalf of Risk Platform.

• To perform changes to risk systems for Wholesale Banking Markets, including MLC (credit risk limit management system), Adaptiv Analytics (Counterparty risk engine), ICRS (credit aggregation system) and support off system complex modelling spreadsheets such as TARNs/TARFs in respect to PFE and regulatory capital.

• To manage UAT and regression test cycles for projects, software upgrades etc.  This will involve liaising across functional areas and working closely with software vendors and internal Risk IT development teams, tracking issues and escalating to senior management in both Risk Platform and Credit Risk teams as required.

• Responsibility for documentation of test results and process/procedural documentation to enable effective handover to Credit Risk Control Monitoring, Risk Data, Risk Reporting MI teams and ensure compliance with internal audit and Sarbanes–Oxley requirements.

Candidate Profile:

• At least a 2.1 degree, preferably in a mathematical discipline.

• A minimum of 2-4 years experience in banking, with preference to an analytical role gained within risk in an Investment Bank.

• Experience in credit PFE, EE methodology used for Rates, Credit and FX products.

• Risk systems knowledge of Murex-MLC or Adaptiv Credit Risk advantageous.

• Advanced use of VBA Excel SQL, a good understanding of interfaces and programming and writing business requirements/technical specs.

• Strong knowledge of derivative products covering Rates, FX, Credit, MM and structured products.

• Proven experience of managing stakeholders and small change projects in Credit Risk.

• Self/Work Organisation skills.

• Excellent Oral Written Communication skills.

Analysis and vendor management skills would be advantageous
