Manager, Customer Analytics (Advanced Analytics)
Job Description This position is part of the Customer Analytics Advanced Analytics team working to support targeted and nontargeted marketing offers. Improve core marketing decisions across Customer Management, Marketing, Assortment Planning, Supply Chain, Pricing, Store Operations and eCommerce areas through the use of advanced data mining, modeling and analytics. You will partner cross-functional business teams and be the driver of fast, accurate, and actionable insights. You will facilitate off-shore analytic resources and partner with on-site resources to deliver reporting and analysis. You will manage a portfolio of high impact projects end to end - design to development to rollout. Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements RESPONSIBILITIES: ??Serve as a point of contact for other internal departments with analytic and modeling needs related to offers. Assess the scope and resources required of various analytics projects in the company, and work with manager to help prioritize and staff them accordingly. ??Identify, size and prioritize business opportunities for improvement through analytics ??Lead cross-functional teams and be the catalyst of change management ??Understand operational challenges, scope current state and baseline key performance metrics ??Execute projects within aggressive timelines ??Set up Design of Experiments that allows SHC to robustly test into a new operating model ??Reengineer existing processes as necessary to incorporate new and improved analytic frameworks ??Set up on-going reporting and tracking dashboards to continuously monitor impact ??Ensure EBITDA goals assigned to key Analytics Initiative(s) is realized ??Keep abreast of analytics ?best practices? from a wide range of industries ??Act as a business partner to facilitate implementation of new tools and data marts. Understanding of the infrastructure needed to support advanced analytics is key. REQUIREMENTS: ? MS or MA in Mathematics, Statistics, economics or other related fields with emphasis in quantitative methods is a plus. ? 3-4+ years of working with technical teams; Effective people and team-building skills. ? Strong project management and experience of people management required ? Hands-on experience on statistical analysis, data-mining, quantitative research in marketing, finance or related fields required. ? Expertise in SQL, SAS. ? Must be able to demonstrate a pattern of success in using complex analytic methods to solve business problems ? Flexibility and ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast paced environment and prioritize work items appropriately. ? Ability to clearly communicate with and persuasively present technical and non-technical information to a wide variety of audiences, specifically senior management ? Familiarity with industry leading database lists and direct marketing concepts ? Ability to use data and business knowledge to influence others ? Strong consulting skills ?
