Manager, Derivative Operations recruitment

*              Responsible for all aspects of the day to day operations of the Derivatives group

*              Responsible for the daily, weekly, monthly and/or annual valuation of derivative investment products

*              Responsible for the valuation of complex derivatives and other financial instruments (e.g. OTC options, swaps, forwards, and structured products)

*              Responsible for maintaining and monitoring a sufficient internal control structure.

*              Manages key external relationships with suppliers, counterparties, brokers

*              Responsibility to recruit, train, lead, manage and motivate staff to build a qualified, productive and efficient operations team capable of adding value to the organization

*              Participate in large scale projects affecting multiple units within Investment Finance and across other divisions as required.

*              Respond to and resolve problems and provide recommendations as to future procedural changes.

*              Responsible for ensuring all month end reconciliations are completed and any issues that may affect performance measurement or financial reporting are resolved in a timely manner

*              Directly manages a team (5-10+) administrators who are responsible for the daily, month end and quarter end operations

*              Supervise and coach to maintain a team that meets high production and quality requirements

Requirements:

*              Relevant university degree

*              CFA/MBA/CA or other relevant post graduate designations

*              Significant experience 5-7 years in an area dealing with Derivatives instruments including at least 2-4 years at a management level

*              Ability to work independently and with minimal guidance

*              Experience in a variety of derivatives and/or fixed income investment instruments preferred.

*              Knowledge of computerized systems to specify user system needs and maintain system.
