Manager, Distribution Center I

The goals for the DC manager will be to organize, grow, manage and motivate the DC's function teams, develop and implement processes to enhance cross-enterprise integration. Accountability for Delivery, Warehousing and DSD planning, Customer Service, DOT Regulatory Compliance, OSHA, and Labor Negotiations Product Quality to our customers. Will ensure local community relations within the Distribution Center Geography and manage multiple centers that may be organized by various labor unions. Responsible for optimizing the Market Unit cost structure to enhance operating income margins with full P L, effectiveness efficiency accountability. This role will be responsible for partnering with Field Operation peers such as the Director of Sales Operation, Sales, DOIP, Planning, HR, etc.. The DC lead will ensure that similar relationships are developed at the Distribution Area levels. This is a customer facing role. Accountable for identifying and engaging with Key Customers Operational leaders at the market unit and local level. This activity will require strong communication and collaboration between Regional Sales, National Sales and Customer Solutions and Market Unit Leadership team.

Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and guidance to the Distribution Area Field Ops organization
Represents the organization internally and externally at the executive level for all DSD activities such as GMA.
Accountable for delivering the PSS vision and strategy
Drive employee engagement and organizational health
Develop world class processes for DSD.
Translate Company business strategy into operational goals with visible metrics
Coaching, motivating, developing talent
Enhance intellectual capital through training, rewarding, and retaining the best of the best
Improve productivity of the workforce through current technology enablement, training, process improvement and identifying best practices (e.g., 5S Lean methodology)
Ensure regulatory agency compliance at the Dist. Center level
Enhance customer relations
Ensure correct wiring with other Regional functions

Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience in a similar position required.
Supply Chain or Business related Bachelor's degree preferred.
7+ years previous Supply Chain/Operations supervisory or management experience (which includes Distribution, Warehouse and Fleet responsibilities) in a related industry.
10+ years previous Supply Chain, Sales Operations, and/or Finance
Previous experience Lean/Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Operational Experience, and Labor Relations required
