JOB SUMMARY
The EMEA Commercial Training and Development Manager is responsible for the managing corporate sales training programs on a regional basis and is a key contributor to development of learning strategies and direct development of commercial personnel. This person engages with regional Sales Directors on a regular basis to develop training programs and individual learning plans to maximize the sales team's revenue potential. They also work to determine the competency needs of the EMEA Sales Organization in order to develop course offerings to meet those needs. Success for this role is measured in the revenue results the commercial team delivers for the business. Overall, they are responsible the on boarding and enablement of new sales representatives, continued investment in tenured sales representatives, and support Global Commercial Enablement initiatives.
Manage and execute learning strategies for the commercial organization (through formal classroom training, individual coaching, e-Learning assignments and individual self-study assignments).
Align to and manage corporate developed programs on a regional basis
Key contributor to ongoing program development related to on boarding and training requirements.
Provide guidance and support for EMEA Global Sales to successfully prepare, practice and pass Ariba’s annual Sales Certification compliance and quality initiatives.
Participate in the planning and execution of offsite meetings and other regional and/or commercial enablement activities.
On-boarding of sales new hires
· Provide weekly direction, coaching and development to new hires through established global on-boarding program.
· Certify that all new sales hires participate in the Sales RAMP On Boarding program and complete learning modules in first quarter of hire.
· Manage, coordinate, and facilitate regional applied learning workshops in coordination with quarterly Sales RAMP Class component.
Regional training requirements
- Conduct ongoing enablement needs analysis and prioritize offerings in concurrence with sales leadership direction.
- Manage and deliver instructor led training in conjunction with regional QBR’s.
- Provide regular progress reports to sales leadership on learning development. Make recommendations based on assessment of sales professionals across region.
- Conduct Individual assessment against established sales competencies.
- Create Individual Learning Plan based on individual assessment
Other
- Support Readiness Knowledge Transfer activities related to product release cycles and new strategic and internal process improvement initiatives.
- LMS Administration tasks (loading courses, reporting, regional level 1 support)
- Engage where appropriate on defining corrective action learning and development activities as part of Performance Improvement plans.
- Draft and distribute all communications related to training and development activities for the EMEA commercial team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- 3 - 5 years of successful experience in a sales, sales support or training role with a leading technology organization.
- ERP/Sourcing/Procurement Knowledge preferred
- Understanding of Curriculum Development best practices and design
- Strong customer service aptitude to support sales team.
- Ability to interact with all levels of sales management to prioritize needs requests based on business requirements.
- Capable of collaborating across functions, geographies, and levels to build and deliver business solutions
· Solid project management and implementation skills required
· Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Multi-language (English, French, German, Spanish) desirable.
