Manager, Employee Communications

The Manager, Employee Communications role has a both a global and regional scope with a focus on managing and preparing employee business communications for the PayPal global operations organization, primarily for sites in Dublin, Ireland and Berlin, Germany. The successful candidate will proactively create and drive internal communication tactics and strategy to support the PayPal organization and eBay Inc.

This role will work closely with PayPal communication teammates, corporate communications, and members of the executive team including vice presidents and global functional leaders to develop strategy, messaging and vehicles.

  • BA/BS in an appropriate field is required; masters in related field highly desired.
  • A minimum of 5+ years ofexperience in a business communications environment preferable gained within a fast paced, multinational environment.
  • Experience working within a global, cross-functional, highly matrixed organization.
  • Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills are essential
  • Experience working with executive stakeholders
  • Experience proactively identifying communication needs and developing strategies and plans to address those needs.
  • Knowledge of how to produce multimedia, including webcasts, podcast and video production
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Sensitivity to cultural and regional differences in communications including style and spelling.
  • Web publishing (SharePoint) and PowerPoint skills
  • The ability to prioritize and handle a variety of detailed tasks simultaneously and to work effectively and efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • The ability to work independently when needed to make progress on a complex program over time and succeed with remote management.
  • Experience translating business strategy into communications strategy that is deployed globally.
