Job Description:
As part of the CME Energy team, the Manager, Energy Products, will be responsible for developing strategy and marketing to drive growth in new and current NYMEX Crude Oil and Refined products and services. This position will support the head of Crude and Refined Products in identifying and prioritizing opportunities for growth in line with broader CMEG product growth objectives, and develop strategies and tactics to drive growth, including identification of key players and top targets. Day-to-day responsibilities will include building and executing product offering strategy, including pricing, technology, regulatory structures and target customers, supporting CME Client Development and Sales teams in developing sales plans and providing subject matter expertise on sales calls, engaging with Marketing team to develop comprehensive marketing strategy, and building product line profile by participating in industry events.
This position will be located in New York City.
Candidates for this position should demonstrate the following capabilities:
• Offering in-depth knowledge and understanding of futures, options, and derivatives trading strategies in Energy markets.
• Act as a liaison to key industry trade groups and customers. Maintain good relationships with various sales and distribution sales, energy futures brokerage companies, and vendors.
• Work with product development groups to improve existing products and identify opportunities to expand product suite
• Scope, design, develop and evaluate a variety of sales initiative focusing on petroleum products
• Perform rigorous market, customer and product analysis to support strategies and develop materials to summarize findings
• Create presentation or education materials- seminars, whitepaper and tutorials- targeting the commercials/institutions and individual investors.
• Educate existing and prospective customers about the benefits and opportunities that trading and clearing of crude and refined products offers.
• Assist broker community to help expand our customer base.
Qualifications:
Specific Qualifications
• 5 or more years of work experience in the energy specific derivatives/cash trading and/or risk valuation industry with specific experience in the Energy futures markets.
• In-depth understanding and/or experience in the crude oil and refined products industry.
• Bachelors Degree with advanced degree preferred

• Must have strong team work, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills including representative examples and references for past presentations given.
