This position can be located in New York or San Francisco.
Russell is seeking an Manager, ETF Capital Markets to support the Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) business in our San Francisco office. This person will assist in managing external trading relationships, and perform trading and portfolio analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with the Portfolio Management, Marketing, Product, and Sales teams to conduct capital markets and investment product research and assemble data to support the ETF business.
The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:
- Manage incoming trade desks calls.
- Educate market participants on current and new ETF products; discuss ETF product valuation, construction, and trading.
- Analyze and recommend risk-reduction and efficiency activities that will increase the scalability and strength of the ETF order taking platform.
- Assist team with launch of new products and intra-day valuation solutions, ensuring strong execution and stakeholder management.
- Engage in business analysis and planning associated with the technology needs of the Capital Markets Group and portfolio management initiatives.
- Act as project lead in specific product management projects, which will include coordinating efforts for both internal and external clients.
- Assist in the creation/development of ETF trading tools.
The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:
- BA / BS degree required; degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of investment related experience.
- FINRA Series 3, 7, and 63 required.
- CFA or MBA strongly preferred.
- Experience in either institutional trading or mutual fund accounting strongly preferred.
- Strong financial analysis skills with a passion/interest in investment management.
- Able to multi-task and work effectively at various levels of an organization.
- Experience working on or leading strategic project teams.
- Resourceful, proactive, and able to prioritize and navigate in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.
- Experience with 1940-Act products a plus.
- Knowledge of the Exchange Traded Product (ETF ETN) marketplace.
- Highly motivated person with impeccable ethical standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong writing and editorial skills and interpersonal and communication skills.
