Manager, External Performance Analytics (Wholesale Bank) recruitment
Job Description
1. Effectively analyse and communicate WB performance to both internal and external stakeholders.
2. Assess SCB WB performance relative to competitors.
3. Support delivery of an effective WB performance management framework that ensures that WB achieves its internal and external performance targets.
Key Roles Responsibilities
Support the primary WB Finance contact for WB External Reporting requirements including pre-close, interim and final results which will entail coordination, preparation and delivery of Fact Books, Presentations, Speeches and QAs for the WB CFO WB CEO.
Support development of presentations and speeches for analyst and investor conferences on behalf of the WB CFO and WB CEO.
Support Investor Relations requirements for key engagements with the WB CEO, WB CFO, Group CFO.
Support competitor analysis on a quarterly basis to provide financial performance overview and competitive benchmarking and liaise with WB Strategy to deliver quarterly competitor Board Reports.
Support development of the competitor analysis function to drive meaningful analysis that enables strategic decision-making.
Support high profile internal conference preparation, including financial analysis presentation support to drive key strategic messaging.
Address other ad-hoc requests from Senior Management.
Qualifications Skills
University graduate with a solid working experience in financial institutions. Must be fluent in reading Banking Financial Statements and with a good understanding of banking products and accounting methods.
A broad interest in and knowledge of the global and regional banking markets and key players therein, specifically those within SCB core footprint.
Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while delivering quality output.
Excellent interpersonal skills and comfortable with communicating with people at all levels.
A team player within the department and able to work independently with little supervision.
It's key to note that this role, whilst sitting within the Global Finance function, is not a line reporting role. It suits an individual able to conceptualise, problem solve and think laterally to manage dynamic and unique issues. With a constantly evolving external environment, the individual who enjoys a living and changing role, within a structured process, will have an opportunity to contribute to process and output development. This is a high profile role that requires an individual who can adapt his/her communication style as needed to achieve the required deliverable.
