Our professionals assist agencies in managing financial, informational, and operational risks, as well as providing performance improvement recommendations to improve agencies efficiency. We are currently seeking a Federal Advisory Manager to join us in our Lexington Park, MD office.

As a Financial Management professional, you can help businesses in strengthening their finance operations by improving transparency, information integrity, and controls to help build and maintain stakeholder trust. We also help support their efforts to apply the finance discipline that can drive performance and lower costs.

Responsibilities:

-Manage a team of professionals delivering financial management advisory services to intelligence agency clients
-Provide subject matter technical experience to delivery team in financial management areas of financial reporting, internal control, and/or financial business systems
-Review draft deliverables prepared by engagement teams and present final results to management
-Serve as an account lead responsible for developing business and relationships related to a client agency; assist in recruiting and retaining personnel to delivery services to client agency
-Develop a deep understanding of KPMGs service offerings and help identify potential new opportunities for such service offerings
-Assist Partners and Managing Directors in the creation of proposals, business development, and practice administration

Qualifications:

-At least eight years of combined experience in government financial management, focusing on federal financial reporting and/or auditing in accordance with Office of Management Budget (OMB) guidance, Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board (FASAB) standards, and Government Accountability Office (GAO) Yellow Book
-Bachelors degree in Business Administration or a related discipline from an accredited college or university; MBA or a relevant Masters degree from an accredited university preferred
-Active Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain one in a reasonable amount of time
-Demonstrated success in shaping, selling, and delivering professional services
-Demonstrated experience in internal controls, business process analysis, and business systems highly desirable
-CPA and/or CGFM/CDFM preferred and U.S. citizenship required
