Manager, Finance Change Team, Market Operations & Technology
About the role
The Market Operations Technology (MOT) division is responsible for the management of Macquarie's technology infrastructure, the support and development of existing business systems and the delivery and deployment of new systems, technologies and services.
MOT Finance provides financial leadership and cost effective capability in supporting the divisions goals, business growth and IT investment as a business enabler that supports the whole of Macquarie Group. The MOT Finance team has an opportunity for a Finance Change Manager to join the team.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Work with the MOT Finance team to define and document new finance processes. This includes training and transitioning processes to offshore locations.
- Add value to the organisation through implementing improvements to existing finance processes. This included managing the definition of improvement and managing the implementation of those improvements.
- Add value to the organisation by effectively leveraging the potential of current systems (TM1, Microstrategy, PeopleSoft, PBO, RDR)
- Develop and maintain the applicable accounting principles and policies specific to MOT Finance.
- Manage pipeline of MOT Finance system enhancement requests and manage the definition, documentation, testing and training of the new requirements.
- Manage systems and reporting improvement enhancements and small projects.
- In consultation with stakeholders, plan and implement changes to MOT Finance systems in the areas of reporting hierarchies, reporting templates, data enrichment, monthly timelines and processes.
- Train existing and new MOT Finance staff members on the use of systems unique to the MOT Finance team (TM1/RDR/PBO).
About you
To be successful, you will have:
- Extensive experience with accounting packages, including the use of Cognos TM1 reporting tools.
- Well developed skills in:
- Process definition and documentation (including Flowcharts)
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Report development
- Communication, negotiating and interpersonal skills
- Presentation skills
- Project management of system enhancements and small projects
- Computer literacy skills - Cognos TM1, Microsoft Office / Windows environment
- Ability to prioritise and control workload
- Ability to work constructively in a global team environment
- Strong customer focus and commitment to the provision of quality services
- Ability to train staff on best use of systems/reporting tools
