IMEX (Ink-Base Manufacturing by Extrusion) is a producer of heat set offset printing inks for the offset printing industry. BASF obtained the business as part of the CiBa acquisition in 2009. BASF is the world’s leading chemical company – The Chemical Company. With about 111,000 employees, six Verbund sites and close to 370 production sites worldwide they serve customers and partners in almost all countries of the world.

 

BASF Nederland B.V. is a 100% daughter of BASF SE in Ludwigshafen, Germany. Within the Netherlands BASF operates 5 different production sites. In Maastricht BASF produces and develops pigment preparations and heat set offset printing inks.

 

All ink activities are operated under the name IMEX. Early 2012 IMEX was taken over by Quantum Kapital AG. Quantum is a financial investor specialized in taking over non core businesses from large organizations. Quatum has the intention to continue the activities in Maastricht. At this moment IMEX employs 60 employees. After the acquisition of IMEX Quantum is now planning, organizing and structuring the organization in the next couple of months.

 

For IMEX we are looking for a Manager Finance

Hands-on financial experienced in start ups

 

Position:

We are looking for a senior financial that is responsible for the financial start up of IMEX as a part of Quantum. You prepare budgets, forecasts and cash projections in accordance with corporate requirements. You oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the Maastricht business including banking, payroll, inventory control, accounts payable, accounts receivable, etc. Furthermore you support achieving the key targets of the Maastricht entity by providing information and analysis as needed to local and the holding. You are responsible for internal reporting requirements of the parent company and for statutory reporting requirements of Quantum Maastricht. You ensure that the Maastricht business is fully compliant for all tax payments and filings.

 

Profile:

You have a bachelor degree in accounting in combination with at least 5 years relevant working experience in accounting at a managerial level. You are familiar with SAP and you have advanced MS Excel skills.

As a person you are described as an entrepreneur that thinks analytically and work both accurately and results oriented. You are a team player that feels comfortable within a intercultural diversity. You are used to communicate in English and German at a professional level.
