Manager – Finance recruitment
Overview:
The Financial Management Group is a comprised of 10 Organizations with multiple cost center owners within these organizations, expenses of over $500M and over 1,700 associates. The Financial Manager role is a Controllership role within a team of Controllers and analysts supporting the Corporate Support Organizations across MetLife.
The Finance Controller is accountable for the following:
1. Client Relationship Management for budget owners and leaders across finance.
2. Budget, Forecast and detailed expense and headcount analytics
3. Oversight and preparation of all month end journal entries
4. Report preparation with executive level commentary regarding results, forecasts and related variance to budget
5. Responsible for Quarterly certification of assigned balance sheet account ownerships in the Corporate Certification System (Coral).
6. Performs other related duties as assigned or required.
Education/Certification Required:
CPA preferred, MBA a plus.
Experience Required:
Ten to fifteen years in operational or general accounting environment (preferably the insurance industry) with advanced working knowledge of accounting concepts, principles and practices and GAAP reporting. Excellent communications and customer relationship skills.
Extensive experience in Expense Management for a large organization with multiple leaders and budget / cost center owners. Excellent budgeting, forecasting and analytical skills required.
Highly proficient in Microsoft tool suite: MS Excel (V-lookups, Pivot tables, formulas and macros) and MS Powerpoint (financial slides, charts and graphs).
Extensive experience with Hyperion Financial tools, Crystal Report tools, PeopleSoft chart flows and data flows. Strong organizational and communication skills required. Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritizes assignments and deliverables, resolve and recommend efficient solutions to accounting issues.
