Description:
The position will support the Executive Director of Worldwide Finance in the Paramount Theatrical Marketing Division. This includes the financial management of international budgets by territory, reporting and analyzing departmental reports, reporting foreign exchange variances, and lending financial systems support to the each territory.
The Worldwide Manager of Worldwide Theatrical Marketing and Distribution ensures compliance with all financial controls within the International Marketing and Distribution group. Also, lends support to this group with vendor deals, marketing plans by territory, and budget needs.
Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:
*Manages Analyst team
*Prepares, reviews, and analyzes International Marketing and Distribution budgets
- Reviews and compiles budgets by territory in USD and local currencies
- Manages sub-distributor budget submissions by territory in USD and local currencies
- Calculates foreign exchange variances by title
- Compiles budgets and reports high level ultimate
*Prepares/reviews monthly accruals
*Oversees monthly close process. Monitors budgets/forecasts, reviews/analyzes variances and discrepancies, prepares variance reports as needed
*Responsible for improvements in departmental processes and savings opportunities in the head office (Los Angeles) and the various territories
*Responsible for identifying redundancies in the territories and head office (LA)
*Oversees the review and analysis of the cost reports by title and territory in order to prepare monthly/quarterly projections
*Involved in implementing financial system rollouts and improvements in the various territories
*Liaison between Information Technology department and Finance
*Financial systems expert
- Lends support to territories
- Analyzes and evaluates system processes and makes improvements as needed
*Prepares ad hoc reports and analysis as requested
*Meets corporate deadlines as relevant
Qualifications:
Basic qualifications:
*Bachelor's Degree
*Minimum 5-7 years Finance/Accounting experience
Desired skills:
*SAP experience
*Advanced Excel
*Knowledge of foreign exchange
*Hyperion experience
*Proficient in Word PowerPoint
*Good analytical skills
*Strong time management and organizational skills
*Attention to detail
*Strong communication skills
*Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
