Manager, Financial Analysis recruitment
This position will report to the Director of Financial Analysis within Annuities. This position is responsible for calculating, analyzing and forecasting all variable expenses within the Annuity Distribution Organization. This role will be an integral part of the Finance team supporting the Distribution function.
This position involves working in conjunction with all Annuities and Corporate partners including Distribution, Human Resources and Compliance. Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to establishing processes and controls to insure accurate and timely variable compensation payments. It will also involve preparing month end journal entries, reviewing account reconciliations, development of forecasts, analysis of expenses versus budget and forecast, and improvement of current processes.
Primary responsibilities may include:
- Calculating Variable Compensation and Firm Support
- Posting and review of monthly journal entries including month end accruals
- Development of SOP's
- Implementation of new Variable Compensation Automation System
- Development of forecasts and budgets
- Research and analysis for adhoc requests
- Interaction and support of Director's monthly analysis
- Review of Marketing Service Agreements
Skills
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of accounting / financial analysis experience
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Ability to foster and build relationships across multiple departments
- Superior analytical skills and financial modeling experience
- Self motivated and proactive, with attention to detail, due dates and deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever changing, and challenging environment
- Ability to work effectively as a team member
