Large financial institution seeks to attract an experienced finance professional with a technical accounting and treasury liquidity to join a corporate treasury team in London.

JOB PURPOSE

To support the Central Regulatory Reporting Function with all information relating to Corporate Treasury liquidity data set.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

The role holder will be accountable for:

ØReview the Corporate Treasury movements on a daily basis for EMR reporting and to ensure that sufficient commentary is available to explain these movements.

ØReview and provide sufficient detail for sign off of the daily Corporate Treasury Summit data set.

ØPrepare monthly reconciliations between Balance sheet and EMR for submission to the Central Regulatory Reporting team including commentary and analysis for variances. 

ØArrange for appropriate sign offs for the reconciliation within group timelines.

ØPreparation of the remote centres for Corporate Treasury EMR.

ØCommunications and relationships with other departments in Corporate Treasury using the liquidity information.

The role holder will:

ØWork with other stakeholders to prepare the Corporate Treasury EMR on a daily,weekly monthly basis and document the processes involved in doing so.

ØImplement controls as required to ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly reconciliations complete with commentary and investigation of all major unexplained variances. 

ØWork with other members of the Corporate Treasury Financial control team as required for the above delivery.

ØEffectiveness of liaison with other stakeholders

ØDevelopment of end-to-end procedures

ØImplementation of Financial Control procedures

ØBusiness Objects / EUCs developed

ØImplementation of SOX controls / compliance with Group Policies

ØOperation of Financial Control procedures as BAU

Key skills/knowledge/experience

Ø Qualified accountant with 2-3 years PQE

Ø Product control experience in a treasury environment

Ø Competent PC user (Inc Microsoft applications: Excel, Business Objects)

Ø Experience of project management practices

Ø Communication and negotiation skills
