Position based In Century City (LA)
This position will serve a key role in supporting the FPA function of SunAmerica Financial Group. Emphasis will be on creation of GAAP forecasts (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statements and associated metrics) and developing tools for consolidation of annual business plan and long-term financial projections across the various SAFG business units. General financial modeling work will also include activities related to preparation for potential supervision by the Federal Reserve Bank, which will include development of capital and liquidity stress testing scenario results and creation of related reports and presentations.
Essential Functions:
Collect and analyze financial data from all major business units (annuities, life insurance, broker/dealers, GICs, mutual funds, etc.) and functional areas of the company (marketing, investments, product development, actuarial, accounting, etc.) as necessary for completion of the company-wide annual and five year business plans and related updates. Prepare detailed financial projections. Respond to senior management and corporate/third-party requests for financial data and management presentations.
Professional/Technical training or knowledge:
Proficiency in accounting and finance, with expertise in financial modeling and analysis. Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills. High proficiency with Excel, Word, and Powerpoint. Experience with SAP and BPC a plus.
Work experience: 5 or more years experience in the financial services/insurance industry with emphasis on accounting and finance
License required: None, but CPA a plus
General education or equivalent: MBA
