Manager – Financial Reporting recruitment

The role is within the Reporting function, liaising primarily with site accountants to assist in the accurate, consistent financial reporting across the company.

You will take lead and ownership for:

• Reviewing designated Balance sheet and PL line items to ensure that the information presented in the financial statements is correct and complies with IFRS and Group policy.

• Prepare guidance, liaise, review and challenge analytical review submissions from sites at reporting periods to understand key movements in those account lines.

• Review and challenge additional submissions required on those lines in order to ensure material accuracy and to present in the final reporting pack

• Liaison with auditors to allow audit of the year end figures.

• Producing and enhancing the monthly MI pack which is presented to senior management

• Standardising and documenting all key processes

• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance controls across all the teams

• Providing support to address ad-hoc queries and initiatives both internally and as specified by external regulators

• Support internal Treasury reporting on liquidity and capital to meet the internal requirements of the firm

• Additional Adhoc work as required

Person profile:

• University degree or equivalent

• PQE ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent

• Qualified accountant with an understanding of a relevant functional area such as financial reporting or technical accounting in an investment bank

• Keen analytical skills.

• A high level of commitment and enthusiasm

• Proven interpersonal, influencing and team working skills and the ability to communicate at multiple levels

• Ability to work in a pressured environment and cope with the demand of working to tight deadlines

• Strong control awareness including understanding the key controls required in an investment bank

• A team player who is able to grasp new concepts and apply existing technical knowledge in order to identify and resolve issues
