MFG has been managing assets for pension funds, institutions and retail investors since 1980 in Australia and 1929 in the US (through Delaware Investments). As an experienced manager you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day responsibilities of a team of 7 Fund Accountants. Acting as the 2IC to the Head of the Alternatives Assets and Structured Products Fund Accounting team, you will be a key point of contact for the Investment Managers for any issues and new products / funds. In addition it is expected you will have a key focus on risk management and process improvement whilst directly assisting in the development of the team members. Primary team responsibilities include unit pricing, portfolio valuations, fees and call payments.

The MFG Fund Accounting team is responsible for the unit pricing function for over 700 portfolios ranging from Australian Unit Trusts, Cayman, Bermudan and Luxembourg domiciled vehicles, Life Funds, Hedge Funds, Private Equity, Structured Products and Fund of Funds.

The group caters for all types of funds including domestic and international equity funds, domestic and international fixed interest funds, credit funds, commodity funds, cash funds, fund of hedge funds, private equity funds, structured products, currency funds and futures funds with virtually all types of complexities.

To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience as a people leader, and be comfortable representing the team in dealings with clients both internal and external to Macquarie. High levels of energy and excellent relationship building skills will be required to cultivate a successful relationship with the investment managers and ensure the smooth running of the team on a day to day basis.
