HSS is split into three divisions, namely, Fund Services, Custody and CTLA (Corporate Trust Loan Agency)
Principal Accountabilities
- Liaise regularly with clients, bankers and other external parties (ability to develop strong relationships is essential)
- Assist with the set up of new clients pre-IPO (advise clients of the relevant requirements and assist them set up the relevant processes)
- Work closely with clients to develop, review and update Operating Memorandums
- Review NAV calculations and perform analysis of client’s financial reports and investigate anomalies
- Provide guidance to, training and manage a number of Portfolio Accountants in the team
- Be a second point of contact for clients to address more difficult questions and requests
- Review documents/contracts and liaise with Senior Management for sign off
- Ensure that internal procedures are complied by team members
- Ensure clients' queries and instructions are responded to accurately and timely
Skills/Attributes
- Degree in Accounting discipline
- 3 to 5 years of Fund Accounting experience with exposure to private equity funds is essential
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of financial instruments and accounting
- Understanding of the internal systems for fund administration and shareholder registration
- Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Service-oriented and client focused, proactive and responsive approach to responsibilities
- Team player approach to attaining group objectives
- Good verbal and written communication skills
