Manager, Group Projects recruitment

Group Projects is an integral part of the Group’s approach to the development, approval and delivery of plans for strategic investment and the development and implementation of wider cost management disciplines. The team’s responsibilities include driving delivery of the Group’s Cost Reduction, identification of further cost savings, management of the Group’s governance processes for strategic investments and working with Divisional and Group Functional representatives to drive step-change in the Group’s cost management.

Managing a designated portfolio of investment proposals, the position requires the ability to strike a balance between being supportive of business strategies and investment proposals and providing a robust and independent challenge to individual proposals. You will also drive the delivery of the Group’s ongoing Cost Reduction Programme

Building strong relationships with key business and stakeholders, responsibilities will include input to Group and Divisional reports and the active involvement in the forecast and budget processes

You will have a strong capability to use financial data to support broader business analysis, with a strong interest in the use of financial analysis to support commercial direction and decisions

You will have the ability to build open and honest relationships while maintaining an independent and challenging perspective.

A financial background, with a working knowledge of performance monitoring would be advantageous
