Key Roles Responsibilities

You will assist the Group Treasury – Business Head in delivering the Group Treasury collective agenda to the Consumer Bank  Wholesale Bank businesses

- Define and develop the metrics of superior balance sheet management.  Spread consistent language and definitions across the Group

- Engage strategically with WB, CB and Group Strategy management to drive greater long term thinking about the business implications of changing capital, liquidity and RRP regulation

- Engage senior management about the optimal allocation of liquidity and capital to maximise returns and support growth within the developing regulatory rules.

- Build balance sheet expertise more broadly within the bank to support optimal balance sheet management in an increasingly fragmented world.

- Identify opportunities and risks from changing regulations and engage with the businesses to position the Group favorably.

-  Define and develop balance sheet modelling approach to identify improvement opportunities (i.e. asset and funding mix)
-  Provide analytical and topical support for geographic RM’s to assist in management of specific country balance sheets
-  Participate in country and business deep dives to improve strategic and tactical balance sheet management.
-  Instil more dynamic capital management approach in CB building on the successful WB model
-  Ensure that GT influence is aligned across GALCO, LMC, CMC BSC’s and Country ALCO’s thorough co-ordination on agenda and follow up actions

Qualifications  Skills

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following:

-  Team player
-  Graduate essential; Post graduate qualification preferred
-  Highly numerate with model building skills
-  Technical knowledge of financial market products
-  External accounting qualification
-  Good knowledge of B3 FSA capital and liquidity requirements
