1. Develop and execute Division healthcare business plan and goal setting to achieve overall business plans. Manage sales growth, profit, contract integrity, and working capital measures. Lead new business growth strategies. Implement growth strategy by planning, managing and utilizing multiple resources available through the Division, zone, region and corporate offices. Outline strategic plan in an annual operating/business plan to be submitted to supervisor.
2. Perform ongoing market and sales potential analysis. Actively track and communicate results with Division, zone and corporate leadership.
3. Serve as point of contact for accounts and sales representatives for addressing and resolving customer needs relative to strategic business factors/solutions, service requirements, contract maintenance and contractual product specifications. Utilize available systems and effectively manage the existing operations support structure.
4. Provide leadership in the development and implementation of regular customer business reviews at a facility and IDN level. Assure that product records, contracts and price list information processes are established and fully functioning.
5. Build an environment that focuses the Division and sales team on quality sales process, new ideas and operational solutions for the customer. Incorporate value added solutions and associated resources into the local business model. Establish and manage multiple layers of relationships within the integrated delivery network, hospital or health facility environment - foodservice, environmental service, support service, materials management and administration.
6. Supervise, train and develop direct reports in the areas of healthcare knowledge and expertise, general business acumen, Division-based business practices, influence management, sales skills and customer relationship management. Utilize and manage implementation of all available resources through the Division, zone, region and corporate offices to support training and development for healthcare team.
7. Responsible for employee hiring/termination, performance reviews and professional development plans.
8. Annually develop and implement locally based marketing strategies to support healthcare growth and customer satisfaction in the areas of education, new product ideas, cost/revenue concepts. Develop budget and funding plans to support activities. Layout cost -benefit logic for Division leadership.
Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales Marketing or related field or equivalent experience required.
Related Experience: A minimum of five years of foodservice sales experience and two years of supervisory experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated skills in problem-solving and analysis, negotiation, decision-making, and influence management. Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, time management and organizational ability. Should be familiar with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Knowledge of healthcare industry desirable.
