The Opportunity:
Goodman is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Manager, Human Resources 2. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to serving as a consultant to management on people related issues while assessing and anticipating customer needs. Works with Corporate / specialist functions to develop and implement integrated solutions. Formulates partnership across the HR function to deliver value added services to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. Works to build business capabilities, develop leaders, and drive change efforts. - Provides support in functional areas of HR including staffing and recruitment, employee / labor relations, compensation management, benefits and employee services, organizational development, training, equal employment opportunity, projects, records, etc.
- Assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures and their dissemination.
- Prepares reports and maintains records
- Implements company programs
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance
- Provides consulting to managers in achieving company objectives
- Analyzes trends and metrics (in partnership with specialist functions) to develop solutions, programs, and policies
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
- Provides guidance on organizational effectiveness and talent planning
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Knows and applies fundamental HR concepts, practices and procedures
- Has in-depth experience in one or more specialist functions
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 5-8 years
