Manager III-Prog. Mgmt. Capture Lead -Japan

 Japan Operations is seeking a Senior Program Manager to be the Capture Lead for the Japan Remote Island Defense Initiative. The Capture Lead is responsible and accountable for the successful Capture (includes program startup) partnering and planning (strategic, cost, schedule, risk, and technical) of the program. Conducts competitive product analysis and market research; evaluates sales performance, and formulates reviews long-range plans, goals and objectives. Will provide guidance to the Patriot Programs leadership and Bus. Dev. to achieve product marketing activities. Will report to the Manager of Advanced Systems and Innovative Solutions.
 
Responsibilities:

-Establish and be accountable for meeting program milestones, bookings, sales and cash requirements
-Be primary customer interface and SME responsible for executing Remote Island Defense Set program strategy, vision, and tactical direction for program execution by multifunctional team(s) and sub-contractors
-Provide direction and individual effort to prepare, submit, and support European Japan Remote Island Defense proposals and post proposal QA and negotiation
-Set milestones and monitors adherence to program master plans and schedules
-Develop program enhancing partnerships with contracts, finance, procurement, operations, import/export, integrated supply chain and quality, engineering, and administrative functions
-Establish clear pre-(NBI) and post- contract cost and schedule performance objectives for all functional IPTs with full IPDS compliance
-Prepare and present regular internal and customer status reviews including Gate Reviews, Ops reviews, Program Management Reviews and Technical Interchange Meetings and Briefings
-Support cross company growth initiatives
-Focus, evaluate, motivate and reward the program team, enabling them to achieve desired results
-Grow the program and its product(s) by ensuring ongoing customer funding of current contractual requirements, working with the customer to identify and fund further product enhancements and refinements, and identifying and pursuing additional markets and customers for the solution(s)
-Travel Regularly in support of Domestic and International Business Needs


Basic Qualifications:

-10 years professional experience and technical expertise with large IAMD systems and Sensor solutions
-7 -10 years experience both capture and program management positions with programs to $25.0M +
-Thought leader and Capture leader with expertise in IPDS Gates (1-5)
-Demonstrated Expertise in Program, Risk, Opportunity Management and EVMS
-Detailed understanding and use of export and import controls, compliance, and licensing
-Experience with proposal development
-Detailed knowledge of international practices within USG, extensive experience with DCS Demonstrated
-Experience in planning and meeting Five Year Plan and Annual Operating Plan
-USG DoD approved Secret Security Clearance
-Minimum BA or BS in Engineering, a related scientific field, or business administration or International Studies. Experience can substitute for education.
