Manager, Impairment and Capital Reporting
As aManager, Impairment and Capital Reportingat a leading Financial Services organisation based in London you`ll be responsible for:
The successful candidate will become an integral part of the finance function responsible for the support of business issues concerning the use of capital and incidence of impairment. This important role is pivotal to the future of decision making and strategy in an unsecured banking environment, with responsibilities ranging from reporting routines to analysis of the efficiency of capital usage.
Key accountabilities
Monthly reporting and commentary surrounding impairment and capital for unsecured products.
Forecasting input for impairment and Capital (together with Risk colleagues), oversight and review of forecasting outputs in the light of current trends and future strategy.
Pursuit of capital efficiency initiatives, support to capital proposals brought forward and the elevation of the capital agenda within the wider finance community.
Some project work is likely given the wide diversity of involvement of the team in projects at the present time.
- 2 years of experience of PL - particularly impairment
- 2 years of experience in a finance function dealing with unsecured products
- 2 years of experience dealing with Basel aspects of unsecured products
- Direct line management experience is not essential but might help
- Sound spreadsheets essential
- Some knowledge of SQL or SAS would be a bonus though not essential
- Good experience in analytical commenting on variances and trends, production of management information packs and presentation to senior management
- Experience as a business partner or in a B.P. environment.
