A unique opportunity to help drive the success of the Qantas Superannuation Plan
You will report directly to the Chief Investment Officer and be a key member of the
Investmentsteam responsible for implementation efficiency, risk management
and the enhancement of the investment strategies of the Plan.
You will be accountable for implementing investmentdecisions, currency hedging, portfolio
rebalancing and liquidity management. You will manage various external relationships and
a diverse range of projects, from stress testing portfolios to enhancing after-tax investing.
You are self-motivated and proactive and will thrive in our informal but results
orientated culture.
You are a dynamic and people-focused individual with strong financial modeling skills and atleast five years professional experience, most likely gained within an investment or multi manager, superannuation fund or investment advisory firm. You combine strong analytical thinking with the capacity and curiosity to challenge conventional wisdom in a positive and non-threatening manner. You have exceptional communication skills combined with enthusiasm and integrity. Qantas is an iconic Australian brand and widely regarded as one of the world’s leading airlines.
In operation since 1939, the Qantas Superannuation Plan is run for the benefit of staff working for Qantas Airways Limited and its associated companies. The Plan has around $5.5 billion in assets and continues to deliver strong investment returns to its 33,000 members.
