Manager (ITS Electrical) (Temporary full-time)

 

Department of Transport and Main Roads / Brisbane

 

1.    Temporary Full Time until 29 March 2013

2.    $112,416 - $123,332 p.a

 

Accountabilities include:

·         Provide authoritative strategic and operational advice to the Regional Director and Program Managers on issues relating to ITS, Electrical and Busway management and operations.

·         Assist state-wide in the delivery of ITS construction and maintenance.

·         Ensure that ITS, Electrical and Busway element management plans are developed and implemented, meeting state-wide performance plan targets.

·         Development and Maintain ongoing constructive relationships with industry, stakeholders, community, internal and external clients, Local Government and other statutory authorities to establish the region as the lead agency in ITS systems and Busways.

·         Take responsibility for proposals, projects and programs and manage the development and implementation of systems to ensure effective and efficient traffic operations on the regions road infrastructure network in accordance with corporate and region strategies.

·         Ensure appropriate technical governance frameworks are maintained and adhered to in order to monitor compliance with policy, legislation, regulations, standards and procedures, in relation to the regions ITS, Electrical and Busway assets.

·         This role reports to the Deputy Regional Director (Metropolitan)

 

Desirable requirements:

·         Possession of a degree in Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution or equivalent engineering qualifications.

·         Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) would be regarded as highly desirable.

·         Current holder of a Class C driver’s licence.

·         Some intra-state and inter-state travel may be required in order to fulfil the duties of this position.
