Manager - Mental Health
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (Qld Section) is currently seeking to employ to the role of Manager – Mental Health. As a senior member of the Primary Health Care team, you will have responsibility for the overall management and leadership of a comprehensive range of mental health / social and emotional wellbeing services provided by RFDS (Qld).
You will provide leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of new primary mental health initiatives and act as advocate for “Primary Health Care” as a service model. Located at Cairns Base of the RFDS, this role will have State-wide responsibilities, including supporting the services based in Longreach and Mount Isa.
You will possess the following:
- A qualification in Psychology, Social Work or Nursing (Mental Health) and registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and/or membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- A minimum of at least ten years working within primary mental health, social and emotional wellbeing, counselling practice.
You will be able to demonstrate:
- Leadership across a multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural and multi-location organisation.
- Experience of managing multi-disciplinary staff and project deliverables
- An understanding of issues impacting on rural, remote, regional and indigenous communities
Remuneration in excess of $100,000pa, with extensive salary packaging opportunities relocation assistance.
