The PwC Deals team provides specialised financial, commercial and strategic advice to both the private and public sector. We offer a unique combination of strategy; change and analysis skills to ensure our clients successfully implement change and achieve profitable growth. The Deals team helps clients make sound strategic decisions in the areas of MA, valuations, due diligence, economic policy and project finance, while also helping other organisations through financial distress and restructuring.
Mergers Acquisitions is an integral part of our Deals offering to our clients and is closely aligned to PwC'S unrivalled global network, thus able to facilitate specific cross-border transactions covering, in particular, New Zealand, Asia, Europe, Africa and the US. We offer clients a full range of lead advisory services to guide them through complex business transactions including divestments, IPOs capital raisings, leveraged buy-outs (management buy-outs, management buy-ins), private equity transactions, takeovers, acquisitions mergers and strategic options analysis.
PwC's MA team is a mid-market leader in Australia (and around the world), comprising approximately 45 partners and staff across each of the major capital cities. We are currently looking to expand our team in Melbourne, and therefore seek a junior corporate finance professional who can initiate and execute transactions.
The ideal candidate will have the following background and qualifications, or similar:
- Mergers acquisitions transaction experience gained at an investment bank, corporate finance team within a boutique or chartered accounting environment, or in a large internal corporate Mergers Acquisitions or business development department.
- Proven ability in deal initiation, execution and project management transactions.
- Cross-border deals experience would also be an advantage.
- Strong team player with an ability to build client relationships and present innovative ideas to blue chip, cross-border and private company clients.

A business related degree and preferably a post graduate qualification, eg MBA, Masters of Finance etc.
