Manager, Market Intelligence
Responsibilities
Regular Sales/Market data mining and report
- Check data integrity by doing cross-check with Finance, Mill, Logistics, Sales Admin teams
- Summarize key findings and generate monthly reports
Support in preparation of performance related reports (e.g. MRM/SMM materials)
- Collate information about the market from Country Managers
- Plan, analyze and present such data as MRM/PCM materials
- Plot trend analysis
- Write summary of findings
Competitive Industry Analysis
- Regular analysis for company’s strategic market planning positioning
- Sector/industry
- Operating environment, macroeconomics, regulatory
- Competition
- Customers
- Plot trend analysis
Competitive Intelligence Database
- Develop and maintain an up-to-date market information base
- Ensure high data integrity and accuracy
- Enhance usability of the database
- Owner of MI database folder
Education / Experience
Requirement
- Minimum a Degree in Economics / Biz Administration. MBA is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years experience in similar capacity in a research or consultancy company
- Knowledge of market research methodologies, statistical tools, fielding and data processing best practices are essential
- Sales savvy with a strong analytical mind and preferably with an understanding of Pulp and Paper industry
- Highly numeric with strong grasp of statistics
- Meticulous and ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment
Specific Knowledge / Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications – Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
