·      Manages METROLift Services staff and the daily operation of METRO’s complementary Paratransit Services and METROLift Services (operating 7 days per week, 22 + hours per day).    METROLift service delivery includes reservations, routing, scheduling, dispatching and contractors’ delivery of METROLift Services. (METRO staff 60+, Contract Drivers 300+)

 

·     Responsible for and oversees the optimization routing of daily scheduled METROLift reservation and subscription trips and computerized dispatching of those trips, conducts evaluation of computerized systems and designs modification or enhancements.

 

·      Ideal candidate will have:

·       Commitment to a safety in workplace environment with excellent customer service,   oral and written communication skills.

·       Computer literate with a comprehensive working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.

·       Experience with automatic vehicle location and/or other advanced technologies used to enhance the efficiency and productivity of METROLift.  Includes testing and implementation of radio systems i.e. Motorola with local air frequency provider and mobile data terminals i.e. MENTOR Engineering Ranger Units for navigational and electronic communications.

·       Expertise using Trapeze Pass Paratransit Scheduling software or other Paratransit software

·       Proven administrative and multi-tasking skills with demonstrated leadership skills bringing energy and enthusiasm to the job

·       Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related fields or combination of equivalent education, certifications and experience

·       Minimum eight (8) years progress experience in the planning and operation of transportation programs for the disabled and elderly in a public transit environment to include five (5) years supervisory/management experience.
